So the fact that they are optimistic and have a positive attitude means they don't deserve equal rights?

It's not a serious issue
If you could fire someone or deny them an apartment, or not serve them at a restaurant for being gay, would there be jokes?
No they would be angry, serious, and demonstrating for their rights.....not playing around like it's just some weekend concert....."OMG It was soo much fun!!!"

Have you ever even met a gay person that was denied the right to marry? I can assure you, having met multiple, that they are quite angry and serious. Comedy has been proven to be an effective political technique for decades. Just because they're using it doesn't mean they aren't serious. I don't know what led you to make that assumption.

This shows how truly ignorant you are. You can fire someone in over half the states in this country simply for being gay.

Its not like this country was founded on personal liberties or anything. I'm glad there are people out there who decide whats right and wrong or everyone.
They should be allowed to marry simply because this is the United States of America. Freedom is our schtick, and they should be free to do whatever they want, and if the government offers something to one group of people they should offer it to everyone.

Did that logic work for interracial marriage? If whites have the right to marry other whites then obviously it is fair that blacks can only marry blacks.
Can you give me a reason the government shouldn't? That doesn't involve you or Jesus thinking homosexuality is wrong?
