How is the park for camping, swimming, fishing, etc....?

I'm going with family and friends tomorrow and none of us have ever been. My kids are 8, 5, and 4. Will they get bored?

Thanks!

Great for kids. They have lots of trails, fields, playgrounds, water park (it is small but fun), ponds, beach and a nature center.

Fishing is not going to be great but you never know. I would either bring worms to fish in the pond by the beach or shrimp to fish off of the pier with. The lake is very shallow there so it isn't the best spot to fish. If you go by yourself you can wade out pretty far before it gets waist deep and fish in the surf.

I would definitely bring the kids through the nature trails and pass by the nature center.

It is very family friendly and typically they have a lot of people out on the weekends.

great place to chace deer at night. deer everywhere. Park is great for kids. Bring bikes and let them go have fun. Bathhouses are good. The lake is shalow but ok for swimming. Small pond may have bream. Trails and lots of big oaks. Good times camping there

Camping- cool, I think.
Swimming- okay. The water at the beach is kinda bleh and some sketchy types group up there, but kids don't seem to give a shite about either.
Fishing- don't know for sure but there are fresh and salt water spots. If you are mobile and go off the beaten path there may even be some really good spots.

Along those lines, there is a cool boardwalk that goes pretty far out into the lake where you can see all kinds of stuff. Kids will love it. Just watch out for any gators.

NP, I forgot to mention the waterpark area but someone else did.

IMO, kids will probably like the beach best, followed by the long boardwalk. If you have a long net you can catch some minnows, kids seem to really like that too (simpletons that they are).

Everyone has already provided good insight. All I would add is to bring bicycles of you are camping. It's a big park and the kids could ride bikes to the different areas. For that age kids, I don't think there is a better park in the state.
