it's not bad for what it is. just don't go in expecting some gourmet sushi and you should enjoy it. plus they have red bean ice cream

I eat there about once a month
If you want to get full on a variety of decent sushi, go for it.

It's no Sushi Masa, but it's good for what it is.

If you haven't tried it by now, forget it, Sushi Masa is heads-and-shoulders better for lunch/AYCE purposes..thus Nagoya is largely obsolete..unless just wanting an endless array of items that are largely mediocre.
I prefer the smaller itemed line at Oriental Pearl(Sherwood location..the Govt St location blows) vs Great Wall's larger selection of lesser fare
I prefer Masa's smaller menu > Nagoya

I used to be a big fan of the place. Then I got sick as a dog after eating there in March....had to skip the St. Patrick's Day Parade in favor of drinking Pedialyte. Never, ever again.

Sushi Masa..give it a try..actually not too far behind Yama, Ichiban, Koto,etc..in grade..as BR has some solid yet not world-class sushi..
Their lunch AYCE may be BR's best bang-for-the-buck meal to be had.

Me and some buddies use to go all the time. I love it. Probably my favorite restaurant. Do lunch Mon-Sat and its only 12. otherwise load up on snow crab cause they charge you another 5 bucks for it.
I really like it. I really recommend it.

Yeah, it's $21.95, and that includes an alcoholic drink. It's only $13.95 at lunch.

Just read you have to pay for leftover food... What if you get something and don't like it??? I dont like this at all.

It just keeps you from over ordering. If you have a few bites left over, you don't pay, but they don't want you having them make ten rolls when you only eat six.

Yes, $14 for lunch, $22 for dinner. Lunch comes with soft drink or tea, dinner with a cocktail..

Their fried rice isn't too bad either. I miss Chinese Inn on Airline 1970s/1980s PFR. Hong Kong on Millerville's PFR not shabby..but it's lean pickings for great twice fried rice in BR..usually save for a Cafe East run to Metairie or Five Happiness,etc..

Is it that much better than Nygoya? I really love "the troff" and am skeptical about ordering. I like to see it and say yea I wanna eat that.

My friends left a few bites of some dishes, they don't care..at least obviously not when you are not totally wasteful nor aloof.
Heads and shoulders better than Nagoya, clear line-of-demarcation. Have been to Nagoya a good fifteen times since opened. Masa twice for lunch.

Not trying to be a dick, but if that is your favorite restaraunt, you really need to broaden your horizons

That seems so long ago. It was always good but sometimes my stomach told me otherwise

I would have burnt the place to the ground if it caused me to miss st patty's day

Everything's made to order, so yeah. Nagoya's good for a buffet, but this is real food.

I'm as big a fan of a trough as the next guy, you can definitely gorge yourself at Sushi Masa, but it's quality sushi/food too. If you're skeptical about ordering stuff you can't see, all I can tell you is a live a little...lift up your skirt, grab your balls, and take a risk.
