Anyone have advice on how to rig this up to the railings without having to buy an expensive custom pit ?

Need a good sound system, too. Any suggestions ? I'm fixing up an old one in my family that hasn't been used in a looooooong time.

Spend the money. When it comes to boats and open fire, buy the right stuff. No short cutting there.

Oh, check ebay for a good used one. They are made out of SS.

Here you go. One of the best on the market, but pricey.

Like I said, check ebay for a used one. Should be able to buy a used one for under $100.

I made one out of a cheap one by just removing the feet, drilling holes for U bolts, attaching the U bolts to a piece of bar stock and then either making a block you can stick it into that fits the rail or U bolting that to the rail.

That way it's hanging over the water and not dripping on your boat plus you can remove it easily enough. Propane just hangs from the side. And if it catches fire you can just kick it off and into the water. Plus, since it's a cheepo wal mart abortion it doesn't really matter if it rots if you leave it out. $20 and you've got another one.
