Never played a Tom Clancy game before but the tv spots and trailers for this look pretty badass. How different is the TC series as opposed to COD? Really only play shooters and sports games and need something new to play for the summer.

I give all Betas a fair shot. Besides the GRFS wasn't as much a beta for the game play as the disc were already printed. It was a beta to test servers and more of a demo of the game play. Not much, if anything, is going to change from the "beta" until you buy the actual game next week.

Its extremely different than most shooters.
First, its a 3rd person view. However the camera is at a nice angle and you can switch it during play over your preferred shoulder.
Secondly its based way more on tactics other than spawn killing, vehicle domination, killstreaks, or perk usage.
It has some things that are great and some not so much. It has one of the highest learning curves of any shooter I've played. Some people don't have the skill set for that.
There are going to be done innovative things with Kinect gunsmithing and the coop missions. I'm looking forward to it.
Don't bother with the Graw 2 purchase. I've played it the past few nights and it is almost nothing like GRFS. You can't even take cover or run in Graw 2.

I actually found it easier than BF3 and about on par with CoD as far as ease to pick up and play.

Sadly I may still pick this game up simply so I can get in on the Far Cry 3 beta. I will trade it in or give it to my nephew later.
