Paul (New Orleans, La.) Better fit for the Hornets: Thomas Robinson or Andre Drummond?

Chad Ford (1:40 PM) Drummond is bigger and has more upside, but much, much riskier. Given everything that's gone down in New Orleans, I think they'd take Robinson. He gives them the sort of toughness that they need and should be able to contribute right away.

A few other interesting quotes:

quote:

based on potential alone who would be top 5 in this draft

Pure potential? 1. Anthony Davis 2. Andre Drummond 3. Perry Jones 4. Tony Wroten Jr 5. Harrison Barnes

based on ability to play in the NBA right now, who would be top 5 in this draft?

Most NBA ready? 1. Anthony Davis 2. Thomas Robinson 3. Brad Beal 4. Jared Sullinger 5. Dion Waiters

Where would Derrick Williams go in this draft?

5 to 10

Just imagine:

Jack/Vasquez
Gordon/Henry/Belli
Ariza/Aminu
T-Rob/ Ayon
Smith/???

Add in another lottery pick and a free agent or 2 to that lineup and you got a solid young team

Didn't watch a lot of Syracuse. What is yall's opinion on Dion Waiters?

Tony Wroten Jr. could be the next Jason Kidd if he ever gets his mind right. Glad to see his name resurface.

I'd take a risk with Drummond if given the choice, but T-Rob wouldn't make me mad in the least if we got him.

Probably because he knows how to play basketball. I usually look for that in my basketball players.

So lets say we get 5 and 10. Would y'all trade them up like the Redskins did to ensure the #2 pic?

I think it depends on what kind of free agent we're looking to sign. If we want to go after a fairly expensive FA then I see Oak being amnestied. If not than he stays. Either way I'm fine with smith playing more at the 5 spot. Whether that means he's starting there or coming off the bench

I wouldn't but I also wouldn't be pissed because we'd be getting T-Rob. But who knows if the other team even does that trade

I wouldn't. I think the Hornets Would be able to grab quality players with both of the picks. We need more quality players using our top two picks. Going all in for a #2 pick to me would not be the best move or the smart gamble.
