4). Hornets select Thomas Robinson
10). Hornets select Damian Lillard

Having to "settle" for Kansas power forward Thomas Robinson is the best sort of consolation prize for the New Orleans Hornets at No. 4. Robinson should be able to start in the Big Easy on Day 1, and if the Hornets can keep Eric Gordon, the team should have a decent nucleus to build around (and a fair amount of cap room with which to do so).
10). Hornets select Damian Lillard
quote:
After shoring up the low post earlier with the Thomas Robinson pick, the New Orleans Hornets will use their second selection on Damian Lillard of Weber State.
The 6'2" Lillard is thought by many to be the best point guard in the college game last year. Keep in mind, however, that Lillard never averaged more than four assists per game during his time at Weber St. and is in the shoot-first, pass-second mold on offense.

Just a reminder of what the odds are for each slot for our pick.
5 - 32.31%
6 - 15.58%
3 - 14.47%
2 - 14.16%
1 - 13.7%
4 - 8.51%
7 - 1.27%
Staying at 4 is the least likely option but I think there's probably over a 50% chance we draft TRob with our pick unless Demps ends up liking Barnes or Sullinger better.

50.84 chance of getting the 1,2,3 or 4.
49.16 of getting the 5,6,7.
That's pretty sobering. Damn.

Except that I'm going to be at Walk-Ons in Nola. It's pretty much pointless to even meet up now.
