I like Mayo a lot. A Mayo/Gordon backcourt could definitely work too. Awesome defensive backcourt.

I don't know, he's more of a combo guard, but his Defense is lights out. I'd be a fan

He played some point against LAC, but I thought it was just so he could guard Paul easier. However, aside from D, he didn't impress. Didn't have great court vision and ball handling was sub par. He needs to stick to SG IMO.

I'm pretty sure Mayo said this last off-season as well. I don't care what position he plays though, I wish the Hornets could get him as a guy that can score off of the bench while spelling two positions at times.

I may be wrong, but didn't he play pg for Memphis a little when he first came in the league? Maybe I just remember him saying he wanted to try.

ya, i like him a lot as a bench scorer...just wouldn't want to count on him to distribute the ball

OJ playing PG is one of the reasons we got beat in the first round.
he needs to get it in his head that the best he can be in the league is a 6th man SG. If he wanted to be he could be James Hardenesque.

They put him as the PG on their Summer League team a year ago and he was terrible. That was against Summer League competition. He played PG in the playoffs simply because the next best option was a washed-up Agent Zero. That being said, I like Mayo as a bench scorer, and he earned some money with his defensive showing on Chris Paul in the playoffs.
