How long to get a refund from an amended tax return?

Mailing out an amended federal return tomorrow and was wondering how long it really takes to get the refund. The web site says 8-20 weeks, but I'm really hoping it's closer to 8 and far far away from 20. Thanks, fellas.

Did you send the documentation supporting why you amended your return and have a refund? If not, you more than likely will get corspondence in about 10 weeks stating they need that to compelete your amended return.
If you sent everything, usually about 2-3 months.

Sorry, just read you have not mailed. Include all the documentation for the amendments. This will expediate the process.

Yes. I sent everything in. Did the original and the amendment using Turbo Tax, so everything should be taken care of.
