Possibly but Jeff Schultz ate his friggin lunch with this 1-liner:

But I can’t promise anything. Unlike Vilma, I actually have a job next season.
DAMMMNNNNN. Never get in a war with a nationally respected writer. The old saying of "the pen is mightier than the sword" is extremely true. Also, he makes pretty valid points. ETA: Actually Schultz usually is one of the 1st people in Atlanta griping about ATL teams. Whether it be the Braves, Falcons, Hawks, etc. He's usually pretty honest about mediocrity with ATL sports teams. I doubt he's trying to be a homer as much as he is just weighing in on the lastest info of a huge offseason saga.

This makes the "journalist" looks bad in my opinion.

True. I liked the article - minus the twitter crap. He could've written a piece on the latest info (Vilma's lawsuit/petition filed this AM) without having to even use twitter.

Pretty petty and low for a, what did you call him, a "nationally respected writer". Real valid points.

This just adds to the fact that Falcon fans know they still wont be able to beat us this year.....

I'm not sure how he ate his lunch here. Vilma made more money last year than Schultz will make during his entire life. Vilma doesn't need to work.

Life would be so much more peaceful if it were legal to slap the living shyte of of idiots like Shultz for crap like this. So-called "writers" like him ONLY get by because they can do so with no fear of repercussions. 95% of your problems canbe solved with an open-hand slap to the mouth...Shultz...I got one for ya!

A journalist is one who reports the facts not one who imparts his own ideas and makes them into facts. When someone does that they lose the credibility of being a journalist and become nothing more than a commenter. AJC should fire Schultz for his inability to report a story instead of becoming the story.

Unlike Schultz, Vilma can probably afford to take a one year vacation.

Really? Where have they been hiding? It seems like all journalists, not just the sports ones, want to "change the world" instead of getting the who, what, where, why right.
