Got my ticket this past week and im frickin pumped! Lineup is pretty nasty. Its at Mulberry mountain in arkansas near the ozarks, so i think im gonna get there early to check that out too, because ive heard nothing but great things, and i love the outdoors. Anything that is a must do? Anything to stay away from? This will be my first trip to arkansas since i was 7 and i dont really remember shite about the state. Any advice on good restaurants for the ride in? Coming from georgia. TIA

I've always heard it's swarming with cops. Much more so than any other festivals.

I'll be there, but it's my first year too, last year i dropped some people off and it looked crazy, so this year i decided i have to go even though i'm not a camping festival type of person. it's in the middle of nowhere, so you'll be strictly camping and listening to music, there's no restaurants or clubs anywhere close.

I'm not sure. I've never been but I know people who have. I just know that anytime anyone mentions Waka, cops are also mentioned.

i dropped people off last year and i had to drive through the security, and they didn't check anything, they kinda looked around and that was it. everybodies car is so loaded with camping gear it'd be hard to check everything, and from what i understand the cops don't go into the festival, i only saw them outside gates.

yeah i know that, im talking about the ride in....it shows us having to go through memphis so i guess that would probably be an ideal place to stop

see im going with a buddy who went last year but he did the work exchange program and said it was fine, that cops werent there to frick you as long as you werent acting a complete fool.
 though...ill make sure to triple bag my weed

i think you'll be fine i've never heard of anybody being arrested i think it's a chill crowd, i don't think the drunkass jersey shore types show up fighting and all that.

last year i picked up these girls to give them a right up the hill and they where from south carolina, i had no idea people were coming in from so far away, i thought it was just a arky festival. it's right in my back yard and never been.

I've been the past two years. It's wild man, crazy crazy 4 days of no rules, no sense of time, no sense of reality really. I did not encounter cops inside the festival nor have any problem. Couple pieces of advice: arrive early the line when you arrive can be a long one. The first year we got there around 4am and waited in line till 6am when we finally started setting up our campsite. If you plan on bringing "party favors" or alcohol. Def make sure to not keep it out in the open, hiding it in your clothes will do. Many of the car checkers are festival goers as well and don't really give two shits. now once you get to your campsite, and in the festival you are in the open. No rules or regards for rules, regarding party favors that it. The only cops are the ones that stay outside the festival and patrol the mountain so, if you plan to drive up and down then don't drink and drive or have drugs in your car. You will get pulled over. I hope you have main stage camping, it is the best option. First year, I had satellite camping at the bottom of the mountain and it was the biggest pain to wait for buses to bring you. The only plus of going to the bottom of the mountain is for
The river. With that ridiculous heat, it was the highlight of my day. Every. Single. Day. And you can shower and recover in their in the shade over the river. But at night, it becomes another world, drugs are everywhere. You can find whatever, whenever. Bring lots of water and shade cause, again, the heat is miserable at time haha. We drove from new Orleans but ended up stopping at a burger place in little rock, famous for the hubcap burger. It was on man vs food so we had to stop and check it out. SPECTACULAR. Bring a camelback, it will become your best friend.

frick yes...you just got me even more excited. thats what ive heard from everyone i know that has been..
unfortunately i only have the 3 day pass as i cant make it in on thursday but well be leaving georgia around 8 thur night so we can make it by 8 am on friday. and yeah, we have a main campsite pass.
again, anyone coming, ill have an icelandic flag flying above our camp, come grab some food, drinks and smoke a bowl...im sure well have plenty of other goodies too
also, someone was telling me about a waterfall not too far out, is it near that river? sounds like itd be a great place to go refresh

I went last year and had a great time. Our car got searched before we went in but had our stuff hidden pretty well. They are mainly looking for glass containers and nos tanks and of course large amounts of drugs. The festival grounds are private property so law enforcement is not allowed in unless they work for the event itself, which is hired out privatley. The cops will stop you outside the festival gates if you are walking back to the shuttle site or to the campgrounds off site. Lots of folks camp at the river by the shuttle site and just ride the busses back and forth. doesn't take very long. Maybe wait for about 10-15 minutes for a bus then a 5-10 minute bus ride. If you still feel uneasy taking stuff in you can always stroll down shakedown st. which is a main thorough fare in the festival camping area, cant miss it. lots of campers selling "hemp necklaces", "hula hoops", and looking for lost dogs named "molly". also lots og cool smoking pieces for sale. Do not forget to drink tons of water and bring sunscreen!! Enjoy your trip, hope this helps!
