Thinking about picking this up for dinner tonight but have never been. Any thoughts on this place?
Is it a call in and pick up kind of place too?

Damn good. Only Mexican place wife and I will go to. Place is clean and food is top notch.

My only experience there was terrible, I never recommend it. Especially not on a day like today lol.

Best restaurant in town, IMO. Get the duck quesadillas for an appetizer, then follow it up with a steak chimichanga with corn grits and either charro beans or the southwestern mashed potatoes as your 2 sides. The steak fajitas are also the best in town, hands down. The chimichanga is so good I can't get away from it. I'm making a trip over there tomorrow, just for the chimi. Enjoy your trip!!

You're seriously saying this is the best restaurant in BR? Really?
Salsa and guacamole had frozen chunks in it. The wait staff was terrible.
How can you say this is the best of BR?

The main dining area is done well, but large ceilings and concrete floors make it EXTREMELY LOUD. Believe it or not, the bar or the patio is your best option if you are going in a couple setting and not with a group.
Order the Spinach & Mushroom quesadillas, and then ask them to add the Smoked Duck. Make sure you get the Rasberry dipping sauce. It works, trust me.
The quest chips are the tits.
Mucho Mango Margarita is the smoothest, best tasting mixed drink I've ever had. No shite.
But Cinco De Mayo makes it a bad idea today.

It is the best in my opinion. I'm a picky bastard when it comes to food, and Baton Rouge doesn't exactly set the world on fire when restaurants are concerned. 
Wife and I used to live in Southdowns and had Coyote several times a week. Coyote is all I miss about BR.

i like this place but in the last few months they did away with their lunch menu so it is sorta expensive for lunch. still, i would recommend and go back
