As far as bigger WRs go the coaches offered him over Raheem Falkins who all the services are in love with in the state, so I'll trust the coaches there.

If the young fellas were cutting their hair thick on the sides and nothing on top, I could be a fresh quaffed man.
And the football players would naturally have more padding than guys in the early 70's had in an old Riddell suspension helmet.
We actually wore these until my junior year.
