Cactus Juice and Swamp Swatter both work.
They also have some sunscreen in them which is why I use them.
I've mainly been using Swamp Swatter lately though because I got to meet the creator of the stuff at the LASM show last month and he seemed like a great guy.

I went to VS yesterday to get Amber Romance. It rained, so I haven't tried it yet. But VS has it on sale right now 5 for $30.

I use Deet. Anything with lots and lots of Deet works on gnats and skeets in my neck of the woods.
