Zachary will be 2 seed. They should be in since WM, Teurlings, and Pineville didn't get a postseason ban.

I hope someone tells them to not act like a bunch of jackasses in the playoffs.

The facts are that the other schools disciplined their players and coaches once they returned. Tuerlings did,and more then just for one game. The list of disciplines and actions taken towards the players and coaches were presented to the appeal committee. Coaches had written reprimands in their files and also have served suspensions. Zachary had done nothing to Cassard, they didn't touch him. He allowed his team to act the way they did, he had no control over that group of boys in Monroe. He even encourages it on and off the field. Does anyone know about the Hazing issue before the season started and the hazing of the freshman baseball player. I am sure that was not reported to the LHSAA. It had to do with members of the baseball team but hidden from the LHSAA and handled on the school level. The three players who did the hazing were kicked out of Zachary, supposable but Cassard was not held accountable for what they did to the other player in his locker room.

ETA: You are right about Zachary not taking the discipline seriously, and that's why they were still banned by LHSAA.

Zachary will act like jackasses on and off the field as long as Cassard is there or any other coach that has this type of charactistics. They are the most classless, dirties playing team in the state. Cassard better be banded from even texting to his assistants. He could coach from his phone and still win probably. If he is suspended it should be a complete suspension, no contact on or off the field till it is over. Cassard needs to go, he brought this behavior into Zachary from Barbe, the Von Rossenburgs followed him into Zachary, they are originally from Lake Charles. Most the guys that were born in Zachary and raised there aren't like that, but there are 5 or 6 that have taken on his character and his antagonistic style. This group of players and parents have no respect for the LHSAA, prinicipal or the Central Office. They don't listen and they don't take no for an answer. If you don't give them what they want then they go find a lawyer and threaten to stop play for all 5A teams till they get their way. How would that have been fair to the rest of the 5A teams that did the right thing all year long? But that is Zachary, they are the most selfish group of players, parents, and coaches. They only care about themselves and no one else.

I take it the LHSAA wanted to teach Cassard and his team a lesson that they don't care for the team's style. Fine, That could have been done without the death penalty. The LHSAA screwed up by not setting a precedent. They hand out the death penalty to ZHS/ TCHS then take lesser actions on WM and Pineville whose brawl was the next weekend. Then they accept the appeal from TCHS who threw the first punch, and reject the appeal from Zachary.

The title makes it clear, that they're in. Then reading some of these posts makes it look like they were denied again....

What is the actual ruling on this final appeal? I want to know if my Griffins will be 8 or 9 now.

Centralborne definitely has an ax to grind when it comes to ZHS baseball I saw some posts in another thread. The program has some issues and hopefully some corrective action will come out of this situation. Get over it or get some therapy. You sound borderline maniac about the situation.

They fight.
Both teams are banned from post season.
Tuerlings is then allowed back in, while ZHS is denied.
ZHS appeals and gets denied again.
ZHS gets lawyers involved and re-appeals.
Apparently now ZHS is back in.

That's as much as I know (based on the info provided on TD)
