You bet...

I don't believe I have ever seen poults this early in the year, have heard rumors before but never seen proof of them.

We have them on the ground here in FL too. I got pics in early April. The earliest I had ever seen them was early May.

Until this picture the earliest I had either seen them or seen tracks was second week of May. I also don't know that I have ever seen them breed that early. Figuring 11 days from copulation to egg, then 28 days to hatch, that's roughly 40 days. The hen showed up with them on the 23rd of April. So that puts them as being created in early March. That's something, we were hearing them gobble regularly in February. Different season to say the least but sure was a good season, just over too fast.

No wonder this has been a backasswards season! I have limited out, but it was a struggle from the start.

I've never experienced such an early season. Got a good bird in early April but heard em gobbling strong in February. Could have taken another nice one on two occasions but was saving that one for my son.

We hunted hard the last weekend but they had simply shut up. Anyway, its great to see the poults on the ground. Congrats to the Turkey hunters on the board. It was a fun season.

It's due to the mild winter... Mother Nature and all of the animals are confused like a mofo!
