Jags front office was fairly aggressive this season with acquisitions of Laurent Robinson and Lee Evans in free agency. Now that they have drafted a big time playmaker, what are the expectations for Gabbert?

I, for one, expect him to suck.

To be better than he was last year. It would be impossible to do worse.

MJD will more than likely not rush for 1,600 yards again. I think Gabbert just needs to eclipse the 3,000 yard mark and keep his interceptions low.

to not play like a rookie with zero talent around him??? can you really call it a bust when players have zero chance to succeed?

Did you see him play? He played scared and was terrible on his own right

He could have had the 98 Vikings offense and still would have been terrible

thats not gona happen

i could see him being benched by week 8

he looked no way ready to be on an NFL field last year. he almost never took a snap under center in college what did they expect just throwing him out there

So happy the skins did not take him and traded out of that spot

He's basically the second coming of Kyle Boller. At least the Jaguars don't have to worry about wasting a potential Super Bowl-caliber team like the Ravens did for all those years with Boller.

I know. If he can't do that, then they should've kept David Garrard.

First off, I never said he was a bust. Secondly, zero talent? MJD, Mike Thomas, and a good blocking full back in Greg Jones? I wouldn't say he had ZERO talent.

Gabbert looked scared shitless in the pocket last year. That might not be something that can be fixed even with experience no matter how much talent he has.
