There was more doubt surrounding Cam Newtons ability to run a pro style offense, than either Luck or RGIII. Panthers were the worst team in the league, and Cam produced the best rookie season for a QB ever. No one thought Cam would do what he did. Are these guys the same caliber QB?

I'm guessing luck prolly won't throw 100 ints in his rookie season

Luck seems better.
RGIII had weaker competition. He seems like he could be better than M Vick was pre-prison.

RG3 tore it up in college but he ain't built like a linebacker so I think he will work more on his pocket skills and awareness and use his speed only when he has to

of course they weren't, that's why they had the number 1 draft pick last year -___-

Cam was a run first qb in college with questionable accuracy which was why he was a big question mark before his rookie season. Both of these guys are pass first and both have great accuracy so that is why they are less of a mystery

Can anyone explain Cam Newtons incredible season...other than the fact that he was just that good?

Not insinuating anything just interested to hear what opinions may be had.

His physicals tools are one thing. His mental ability impressed me last season though.

I don't know, but his future doesn't look good for the Saints defense.

I think the best comparison for RGIII might end up being Steve Young. Accurate passer who can run really well when he needs to.

Carolina's offense really gave Cam the freedom to make decisions and take shots down the field. He made a lot of good ones and a lot of bad rookie ones. If he can cut down on the bad decisions (i.e. ints) and their defense can improve (Carolina gave up more TD's in the 4th qtr than any other team in the league last season) I think they could make the playoffs this season.

Luck = Peyton Manning (quicker version)

RG3 = Romo
Cam = Daunte Culpepper

Luck=Eli Manning

RG3=Reminds me of Drew Brees in his Purdue to Chargers days.

Cam=no clue. I still think once you put more talent around him he'll be top 12 maybe top 8 QB in five years.

I could see RG3 as a quicker Romo, which makes him a top 10 type QB.

And Cam --> PRE-INJURY Culpepper is a pretty good comparison, except that Cam moves better than Culpepper did, which is scary. The sky is really the limit with this guy.
