I like the replacement. Very interesting fight but I'm taking cain in this one.

I like this match-up much more than Roy Nelson.

So if Cain wins he gets the title shot, and if Silva wins he fights Struve or someone?

I could see Mir losing and getting Silva if he wins.

if cain loses I have no idea who they are going to put into the next championship fight. I wonder who they are going to give Travis Browne to.

Good point. Maybe Overeem will be approved by then? Maybe the Hunt War Wagon will have to get going again. Hopefully Cormier/Barnett winner will come over....

I would love Hunt to get a championship fight but he hasn't fought any of the main guys at hw. He hasn't faced someone like a Shane Carwin or Frank Mir.

Cain is like Daniel Cormier but much better. He has handled larger opponents before like Congo, Rothwell and Brock. I'm taking Cain in a walkover.

I wouldn't be shocked if we never see him in the UFC again. Dana said at the press conference that he wasn't real optimistic that his hearing was going to end well for Overeem. If he is not licensed this go around, he cannot re-apply for a full year. It also seems likely that a suspension would be forthcoming.

More experienced, but Cormier is just as talented, maybe more.

If Barnett wins, he and Cormier both come to UFC. If Cormier wins, only he comes right now. I'd love to see Barnett back in the UFC, though.

Reem is in to fight Cain if he gets approved somehow. Werdum turned down the Cain fight bc he really wanted to fight in Brazil. Depending on how things shake out, this could be a genius move, as he may end up with a title shot by beating Mike Russow of all people.

Overeem releases statement which says that he was taking medicine for a rib injury which he didn't know had testosterone in it. LINK

Well, looks like I gotta finally disagree with you about something mma related

I like Gonzaga in this fight, and think Roy needs to move down to LHW along with Fedor, Pat Barry, etc

I dunno I'm back and forth but I think Big countries toughness and excellent ground game will be able to overcome gonzaga. I see Big country landing a big shot and finishing off Gonzaga. You're right on all those guys moving down to LHW.

Yeah, I could definitely see that happening as well....I'm not really convinced either way. I just think that with GG's size, he can keep it standing if he wants. If it goes to the ground he's no slouch either (BJJ black belt I believe), even though I'd give BC the grappling advantage. Both have KO power and I'm surprised how many similar opponents they have both faced. Gonzaga just seems more focused at the moment and I think his time out of the UFC re-energized his career. BC seems more in limbo, as he was recently planning on dropping to LHW. Definitely a good match-up though....wonder who Del Rosario will fight now....
