They will have a hard time making that 2nd degree murder charge stick by just looking at this pic.
Obviously over charged due to the press & public pressure. The legal system failed Zimmerman in regards to the initial charge.

Cuts on the scalp, even small ones, bleed like crazy. However, it doesn't matter how bad the injury was or even if there was an injury. All that matters is if his head was being slammed by skittles. Hell, he could have tackled Trayvon and after the big hit rolled over and cut his head because he couldn't stop his momentum.

the scalp is one of the most vascular areas of the body
very small cuts/wounds can easily cause that much blood
