Any NRBQ fans in here?

I've never seen them discussed much ever on TD. To me their popularity was greatest in the 80's but didn't know if anybody still listened to them.
I'll admit I always thought they were a bit quirky but they are entertaining and have a devoted fan base.
I've always pictured Kafka as an NRBQ fan but I've never seen him mention them before. I can just see him sitting around listening to NRBQ with his coon skin hat on while waiting for Maltese Falcon to come on TCM at 1am.
***I really should have made this a "Consider NRBQ" thread.

Yes, I'm a fan. And some other folks have done great covers of their stuff, like Charlie Robison "I Want You Bad" and Jimmy Lafave "'I've Got a Rocket in My Pocket".

I like what I've heard (which isn't much). For years I've wanted to get into them more but I've never gotten around to it.
Me & The Boys
FWIW NRBQ played a major role in getting the then-unknown Shaggs album reissued in the 1980s.
An NRBcurio (I just coined that word) -- This classic garage soul-rocker features Al Anderson and was a minor radio hit:

I only know of Wacky Tobacky from Weeds. Always cracks me up.

You know I made that post before I saw your other one about getting rid of cable on the OT.
