Looks like Nikki will be at LSU for awhile...all the best to Summitt, great coach and person...hope UT hires Warlick for LONG term

Yes, Summit set some standards that Warlick or anyone else will have a very difficult time achieving. Best of luck to her.
This was pretty much expected--in fact, I would have been shocked if Summit had remained head coach. In many of the Lady Vols' games that I saw, Warlick was the one off the bench, giving instructions, encouraging players, and just acting like the head coach more than Pat did.

Pat Summit is (imo) the most instrumental figure in the sport. I have nothing but enormous respect for all that she has accomplished, and intense frustration that her brilliant career and contributions have been cut short (even if it improves LSU's chances). The greatest victories I've ever enjoyed for our Lady Tigers have all been over Pat Summits Lady Vols.
I truly believe that to the extent character, intensity, determination and drive are a factor in dealing with her ailments, she will be in the best shape humanly possible to deal with it. And she definitely has my prayers for everything else involved.

Warlick is very popular at Tenn....Nikki was never considered. Warlick has been beside Summitt for many years as her Asst. She was doing all the work and coaching for the last few years......
