Saw it in the background of a picture on The Chive....had to check.

Apparently, they are remaking it.

No idea what The Marquee Blog is from CNN.

It's not hollywood that's lacking creativity. They just make what sells. Remakes bring in $ at the box office.

Blame movie goers if u have to blame someone.

Yeah you have to figure there are a lot of young kids you can make money off of because they never saw the original and won't ever watch it cause it's you know, old.

The Elephant Man is one of my five favorite movies. The music at the end is heart-wrenching. Love the elequant way Hopkins talks in it too.

David Lynch's film is beautiful to look at, but it's not a great film. It's mostly sentimental fluff, and turns Merrick into someone that is constantly felt sorry for. In real life, that's the last thing Merrick wanted. The film was a missed oppurtunity to tell a better, uplifting story.

Yeah, the movie got a lot of things wrong such as his name was actually Joseph and not John. It was still a fantastic film.

Didn't see the original at the theater and won't see the remake. It was a good movie but not something I care to see in a theater.
