I replayed 7 a few months ago for the thousandth time and realized I've never beat 8 all the way through and did all the extra stuff (PuPu's UFO locations, Omega Weapon, all the trading cards).

Has anyone else recently started an old nostalgic rpg (or any genre for that matter)?

As big of a FF fan I am, I have never played 10 before.

Card game is actually fun. 8 is my favorite FF hands down. Had some flaws in the draw system, but I really enjoyed the world and story. Makes me want to play.

Played through 7 and 8 using an emulator about a year ago.

It was my first time beating ff8. I don't mind ff8, but I didn't care for the ending and it does have a few glaring flaws in the gf/draw system.

Ill take squalls stoic arse with his whiny internal monologue over anything that square has put out recently.

I've replayed 7 and 8 probably about 3 or 4 times. Never really got into 9, and would LOVE to replay 10 but Sony is fricking stupid and they don't have it on the Playstation Store (I guess they don't have any PS2 games since they removed that backwards compatability.

Been thinking about starting one of the 6-9 ones again for the hell of it.

Started Tactics again at the end of last summer but never finished. Got too much into developing my teams and making them a bunch of badasses.

Orge Battle 64

I wish that series hadn't died....Square bought the company who made them and shifted them to making FF Tactics games.

You should play 9, it is alot of fun. The playable flashbacks was a nice aspect. And Zidane's character has way more personality than Cloud or Squall (kind of like a rebellious middle schooler lol).

And Vivi pwns

8 is my favorite despite all its plot holes.

X would be my favorite if Tidus weren't so damn annoying.

7 is great too.

never really got into 9 too much. I mean I beat it a couple times, but never really have the yearly urge to replay it like I do 7, 8, and X.

Posted on here that I started Chrono Trigger recently...never actually beat before. I'm really enjoying it.

I played through Suikoden 1 (didn't actually finish that one) and 2 about a year or so ago. Those are awesome games, with A LOT going on!

Ironically, the Chrono Trigger that I'm playing is on the PS1 and it's a two disc set with FFIV included with it. I may give that one a spin myself down the road.

Starman avi, nice.

I bought 7, 8, and 9 on PS network. Finished out 7, started 8 and 9 and trailed off. Plan to get back around to them again one day, they're just really slow paced compared to the games we're used to nowadays.

I have played Earthbound, FF 6, and Chrono Trigger more times than I can count.

I recently went through Chrono Cross again and was thoroughly disappointed after all.

This game really gets mixed reviews. I guess nothing can compare to Trigger...

Chrono Cross was nowhere near as good as Chrono Trigger, but it was still a decent game.

I liked it at first, then realized the game was hilariously easy. Also, at first the giant cast of characters was cool, but it made it so no one really had any identity. Also, the magic system was kinda neat at first, but halfway through the game I realized 99% of the time I was better off just using straight physical attacks and the elements didn't matter.

I realize I used at first three times.
