Is Florida still our permanent cross conference rival?

I know this is germans so go ahead and beat the crap out of me. Do we still play Florida every year or do we rotate everyone from the east on and off the schedule?

This has to do with permanent divison setup, 8 or 9 game conference slate decision, maintaining major rivalries (UA/AU, UA/UT, AU/UGA...LSU/UF is not a major rivalry). None of these has been decided yet. The latest word on the grapevine is after 2012 season. It has to be done before 2013 season though. This is my understanding.

as of now florida is still our permamnent opponent from other division, word is it could change still

that's what I'm thinking. Haven't heard anything from the SEC office regarding UF not being on our schedule every year. The game continues from what I've heard....

I was under the impression that South Carolina was now our permanent opponent in the East.

It should eventually change, no reason to have permanent opponents from the opposite division...stupid

The 2012 schedule is a one year schedule. All these other decisions will be made beginning in 2013.

I've read the SEC will release its future schedules by the end of May. We will see then.
