I needed to vent....forgive me its been a while since I've been on td but I just read an article from a few days ago about two vikings players who are still pissing and moaning about this bounty crap, one of them was chris kluwe the punter. How the hell is this dumbass going to sit here and try and complain, he's hardly a part of the team and has the easiest fricking job. frick that franchise

I did start a thread on that a couple of weeks ago stating there were two Vikings players that want Vilma and Williams suspended for life. Everyone involved with the Minnesota franchise is extremely butthurt about the 2009 game. There is also a NFL.com article on Kluwe's stance. I had fun posting with Viking fans in that one.

They truly are butthurt. I'm glad to be back on here because it seems like most fans on here share same same disgust as I do about this whole situation.

All of this bounty stuff is ridiculous. Most of it was just trying to fire up the guys. If anyone was injured soley because of this bounty program, then shame on everyone involved. You'd have to have a really pitiful defense to think you need a bounty program.
It is common knowledge that offensive guys and defensive guys try to injure their opponents on every play even at the high school level. They also try to injure kickers, if the kicker wants to try to make a play, such as tackling the returner. Special teams players love to take a shot at kickers.
If a QB wants to make a tackle after throwing an INT, then the D will do everything possible to wipe that QB's face on the turf. Even the ball carrier might foregoe a TD just to put a lick on the QB. That's the defensive mentality. They love taking out the QB. It's a "Remember me, I'm coming for you next time." type of shot.

I guess GW was trying to make up for their poor tackling skills. The Saints "O" was so good all the D needed to do was tackle.

The nfl chose a pretty piss poor defense to make an example out of. Seems like the only game/player people can talk about is the nfccg from 2009 when favre was legally sacked multiple times. Aside from this no player was every hurt or carted off. I cant wait until next season, I have a pretty good feeling about spags and the moves he's already made this far, if we can get a few decent pass rushers and some help for our cb's, there's no reason we cant dominate every team we face next season
