Scott Drew in trouble at Baylor? - not hardly

Contrary to everyone on this board saying that Scott Drew and Kim Mulkey are cheaters and that Baylor will be sanctioned heavily, the following press release was just issued by Baylor: "The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions has accepted Baylor University's self-imposed penalties in a case that focused mainly on impermissible recruiting text messages and telephone calls by the institution's basketball coaches, both parties announced today. Contrary to published speculation generated because of Monday's premature release of information, Baylor will not face additional penalties other than those it self-imposed on its programs. Baylor Press Release
These infractions were self-reported by Baylor and Baylor dealt their own punishment to their coaches and staff months ago and those sanctions were accepted by the NCAA. This was not a new issue.
I would love to have Scott Drew coaching at LSU, but I hate to read all of the BS statements about him in the past few days. Those that call him a cheater are jealous of his success. If you don't know him, you have no idea what you are talking about. He is a good person, a friend and a great coach. Just ask his godfather, Dale Brown.

1,200 txts over a 2.5 year period between 2 coaches isn't awful. Break it down and it's like 20 txts a month per coach. you could do that in about 5 minutes.

Really - Homer Drew was Dale's assistant coach when I was at LSU in the 1970's. Dale is Scott's godfather and a very close friend of their family.

SD should be the #1 candidate of those listed to date, and rumored in the mix.
But, I have little faith in a braintrust that chose TJ over Anthony Grant.

Then shouldn't "Daddy Dale" have a little influence on both sides and get this guy here ?

Do you consider Les Miles and the LSU coaching staff cheaters since they also got in trouble for impermissible texts/phone calls?

Why would he push Jones so hard over Drew? Seems like he would push hard for Drew to coach over here.

That's crazy. I didn't know DD was Scott's godfather.
Make him an offer he can't refuse.

I read a report saying the coaches were informed wrongly by a staff member that using a computer software to send messages to recruits didn't count toward the traditional text limit. This program put them over the limit. It makes sense considering both coaches were involved. Doesn't sound like a blatant misuse when this context is added.
