This game looks very interesting. I love a good platformer and this one looks like it may keep me busy for a while.

quote:

Fez appeals to the adventurous soul's want for discovery, and delivers it in an entertaining and original way. After a catastrophic event adds a third dimension to a 2D world, Gomez, the fez-adorned hero, finds himself capable of shifting the dimensional plane. This is where Fez starts challenging player perception.

Imagine the world like a four-sided column. With each pull of a trigger, Gomez rotates the column left or right 90 degrees. Each rotation displays a different side of the landscape, each of which has a distinct set of objects to interact with. This simple device changes where Gomez can go and how he can get there. If there's no means by which to climb higher, rotating the scene may reveal a hidden ladder or new ledge. Fez further complicates matters when it lets illusion become reality.

It's incredible. The art style, the music, the puzzles, everything is great. There are some minor glitches though ;) [if you played through the tutorial, you know what i'm talking about]

The dev is a huge arse, and I will never be buying a single game he makes.

Yeah, I saw where he told Japanese developers that all of their games suck

He said their modern games suck and he has a point. Even Keiji Inafune (Mega Man creator) agreed. For the past 5-10 years, what Japanese game hasn't sucked?

Well the game is amazing so you are missing out. Are you referring to the "modern Japanese games suck" comment or something else? I honestly don't know much about the developers.

I'm loving the game so far, already 16 cubes in but I haven't gone through any of the doors that require more than 4 cubes. It seems like just when you really get the hang of everything another type of puzzle is thrown your way.

I actually just beat it and was completely blown away by the ending/kill screen. You'll know what I mean when you get to it. Holy shite. Can't find video of it...

They aren't collectables, they are part of the game. This isn't a game about a neat perspective shift platformer. Busting out a pencil and paper.

Also, no one (last I checked) has figured out the "big thing" at the end.

Apparently there's a part where you have to disconnect from XBL and manually set your system clock to a specific time...
