A few days ago I was wondering how many games the Hornets loss after having a half time lead/tie/small deficit. Could only do January for now. We started out 2-1 in December, & then ran into a few injuries and an old teammate to start out the year and TankFest.

January 1rst - Kings (96-80) outscored by 18 after halftime. Led by Marcus Thornton 25pts
Jan. 2nd - Jazz (94-90) outscored by 8 in the 4th qrt.
Jan. 4th - 76ers (101-93) outscored by 14 in the 4th qrt.
Jan. 6th - Nuggets (96-88) outscored by 11 in the 4th.
Jan. 13th - Timberwolves (87-80) winning by 1 at the half & outscored by 13 in the 3rd qrt.
Jan. 16th - Blazers (84-77), down by 2 at half, but outscored by 11 in 3rd.
Jan. 19th - Rockets (90-88) this was a good 4th qrt comeback only to lose in OT.
Jan. 21rst - Mavs (83-81) another good 4th qrt comeback, but was tied at the half and we were outscored by 11 in the 3rd.
Jan. 23rd - Spurs (104-102), down 1 @ the half & outscored by 3 in the 4th, Duncan with the crazy hookshot.
Jan. 30th - Heat (109-95) down 2 at the half & outscored by 17 in the 3rd qrt.

Pretty much all but 15 of them. Epic 4th quarter collapses has been the theme of the season. The funny thing is they aren't trying to tank from a game plan standpoint, teams just take them lightly until the 2nd half and with all of the injuries the Hornets don't have a closer to keep them in the game at the end.

If there's a right way to tank, this is it. We're playing hard and our young players are getting valuable experience from playing hard and we're still losing. The team is still some what interesting to watch because of their effort. We get as much out of games as we can. Except for the win.

I think the fact that we have about 9-11 players available per game lends itself to late game collapses as well

And the fact that the last 3-4 players of the rotation have no business being on an NBA roster

Didn't you hear we just signed Jerome Dyson? Isn't he a 5 time all star?

Yeah, at the end of games, the other guys just have more left in the tank (oops) than we do. I don't think we'll have this kind of trouble closing out games once we get the depth we need.
