Good. They have a good core and I was worried about BP.

Is he injured? I saw him leave the game yesterday.

Bruce, Phillips, and Votto, Cozart, Mesoraco, All under contract till at least 2017

What are the contract situations like for Bruce, Cueto, and Latos ?

With the reds attendance numbers, they will be the cubs in 5 years. They can't sustain that payroll long term.

Do you even know what the payroll will be next year or are you just spouting out nonsense?

They will get a nice injection of cash from the new TV deal in a a few years.
Plus they are obviously banking on winning sooner rather than later and are making the moves to do so. If we show success like we should then attendance wont be a problem.

I'm not talking about next year. I'm talking about in 4-5 years when Votto is mid 30s making 25 mil. They are a mid market team that has average fan support. Just over 16k at the game yesterday.

Attendance should improve. They are a good team and have a great ball park. Not sure why they can't get better attendance numbers.

Phillips is 12 mil a year and end in 2018, Bruces' contract is 13 mil a year at its peak and ends in 2016 with a club option for 13 mil in 2017. They only have 3 players locked up long term now for big money.

Its a poor town.

I don't know the exact avg for Votto, but if it's around 25 mil at its peak that is 25% of the payroll right there. Which of course doesn't matter if the fans actually start to show up. But what happens if they don't win?
