Today marks the 50th anniversary of the first game in franchise history as the Houston Colt .45's. Tonight the Astros will be wearing the classic uniforms WITH the gun on jersey.

Hanson

v

Weiland

Chipper Jones will be activated today and may provide some pep for the winless Braves who are batting .151 as a team with no players batting over .300.

And if you're feeling really cheap I think the Powerade promo is valid, turn in a label from a Powerade bottle and get 2 View Deck II tickets for $2. Should have most of the upperdeck to yourself tonight.

The terrace seats aren't bad considering they are upper level tickets. Sneak into those if you can.

If I can sneak out of work early, I'll be there.

For twitter people, if you tweet a question to Jeff Luhnow, the Astro's GM, he will select a lucky tweeter in the stadium in the 3rd inning, and invite them to sit in the GM's booth for the rest of the game.

You need one of those hats. Of course, they may not have them available in an 8 3/4.

Actually found a 8 1/2 once in the team store. And I wear 7 5/8 btw.

Y'all should get Lowrie back by the weekend.

Also, wtf are y'all doing signing Justin Maxwell? Nice homer yesterday, but damn.

What's the story with him? They said he strikes out alot on the broadcast last night.

He was batting .310 in spring training. Batted .280 in AAA last year?

I think they want a righthanded bat to go against lefties in place of Schafer or Bogusevic. They were saying last night he can definitely play CF

I was just glad to see Abad get sent down. I've never been a fan of that guy.

Yeah, I got that part. He posted that as if he was a Mendoza hitter at best.
