Was Jerry Seinfeld a murderer?

And did Elaine cover it up because her boyfriend loved Desperado too much?
Yesterday evening, I was watching the episode of Seinfeld, The Checks.
At the end of the episode, it's strongly implied that Elaine's boyfriend dies from an injury that was caused by Jerry. There is no mention of this guy's death in any future episodes, so to me it appears that Elaine and Jerry decide to cover up the murder and never speak of it again.
They are last seen in the episode tending to the guy, when he collapses. Next thing you know, he's in the ambulance and seems to die when the doctor stops his work to listen to "Witchy Woman". Now, some would blame the doctor, but it is JERRY who hits the guy in the head with the ax and is thus the reason that the guy dies.
IMO, Jerry Seinfeld is a murderer, and a murderer is a very, very bad man.

Involuntary manslaughter...if he used the twirl...premeditated.

True. And why didn't the guys from the Asian TV station turn him in to the authorities?

Those Asians understood English, when Jerry yelled "I can't open the drawers, the moisture must've warped the wood! Hold on, I'm gonna chop it open! Get back!" you think they would've understood that Jerry was doing whatever was necessary to HELP them. And then when they were released you'd think they would've had some sort of discussion. It's "Ben Stiller movie-ish" that those guys thought Jerry tried to kill them when in fact he was just trying to help.

Yeah, that scene and many more like it in lesser sitcoms always bugged me. They're very "Meet the Parents like" (or Ben Still movie-ish like you said). I get very frustated when dilemmas in shows arrive that could have easily been settled by conversation.

Seinfeld is indeed a murderer. He killed all future sitcoms.

Not the first time
But I guess in the JM case it was only attempted murder

Not only did he not murder him (or attempt to), but the junior mint saved his life.
