Heading to Orange Beach Thursday for the weekend. Wanted to play a round on Friday and was thinking about Glen Lakes in Foley. Anyone played here, if so, what are your thoughts? Anything better in the area for the same price?

Glen Lakes is very nice and a great value imo. Lots of hills and undulations (compared to what I am used to at least). My other favorite when we go over there is Kiva Dunes.

Glen Lakes:

It's not overly fancy, but it is a solid fun course that's usually in great shape and good for the price. I'd put in behind Kiva Dunes, Peninsula, Craft Farms, and Lost Key as far as pure quality but by no means is it a poor quality course. It's one of my favorites in the area because it's usualy in good shape and is extremely playable.

For the price it's hard to beat. I think it was around $40 last time I played (which was last year).
I've playad all 27 holes at various times and it's a fun course, not overly difficult.

And of course it's always fun when I'm sporting all my LSU stuff and having fun with the locals.

I played there last week. I've played about every course down here and it is spot on for the money. FWIW, the Peninsula Club is waaaaayyyy overrated.

I think Peninsula is the nicest of the bunch personally. Glen Lakes is the best value of any of the aforementioned courses, although it is usually very crowded on weekends.

Kiva Dunes is hard because of how windy it is, but it's also a really nice course that I would rank just behind the Peninsula

Thanks for the feedback guys. I will definitely be sporting purple and gold all weekend. I dare the bandwagon gumps over there say something too.

Na, their real cool. Although my Big Bro that lives in Foley is a huge bama fan so maybe that played into it.

I think one of the marshalls that was a cool old dude was a big Aub guy.

No big deal. I had an LSU collapsable ice chest full of Bud Light and they never gave me any crap over it.

Any time I visit my Bro we head to Glen Lakes for a round.
