Was does the board think is possible for him this year? I have 5 1B and Id like to take a flyer on a SP.

Was thinking of trading Trumbo for a guy like Johan though I'm not real sure of either guys value at the moment.

Thoughts?

He looked good for the first 4 innings on Opening Day but his control went in the 5th and he started walking a lot of guys.

He plays on a bad team, so I don't have high fantasy hopes for him, really. He'll be solid, but nothing special IMO.

He is old and done, IMO. Like Dan said he came in and pitched 4 solid innings then feel apart. I like Trumbo supporting cast, you have to remember this guy hit 30 HR last season in his first full year in the league.

No doubt, but he is really screwed over by the Pujols signing. I don't think he will get enough at bats this year to hit 30. I think he is more mid20s.

Plus I have 4 other 1st basemen to use so I need to move 1. Just not sure what his value is. I'm thinking somewhere around Doug Fister?

Johan will get better as he gets more work. He hasnt played consistently in a while. He may be old but he doesn't have the miles on his arm due to always being injured.

The question isn't whether he will be good, it's whether he stays healthy. He's a 2 time cy young winner for a reason

I like his outlook for the season. Unless you have a bunch of CI/UTIL spots, you definitely should move one of those first basemen. However, if I had Johan and you offered me Trumbo, I'd probably turn it down. He already has 3 errors or so and if he continues to play shoddy defense, they'll have to replace him in the lineup... then his power becomes obsolete unless he's traded.

I took Santana in the final round of my draft. I think he will be a decent pitcher this season. So far so good. He may not be able to pitch full games, but if he can go 5 solid innings I'd rather that. The rest of my pitchers go deep into games and I need W's without taking all my innings.

Looked good today. High whip but he struck out 8 through 5 and only gave up 1 run.
