T-Bob was one of our best linemen at getting to the second level and taking down linebackers, and we were fortunate (IMO) to have him as a utility interior lineman the last few years. He had some limitations too - struggled with larger, more powerful interior defensive linemen, that's for sure - but I never was on board with those that thought he was just flat out awful.

Someone (the account name is "Bobby Hebert") put together a nice little highlight reel of T-Bob doing what he was good at - some pretty spectacular blocks where he flipped linebackers head over heels:

Highlight reel consist of your best plays.........there are 82 in a game roughly 40 on offense........I thought he was an ok lineman but too many times he was bullrushed and gave up the sack

That is a nice one...I like the one starting at about 1:26 where the guy flips head over heels, lands practically on his feet, and then T-Bob blocks him in the back to knock him down again and falls on top of him for good measure.

I'm guessing this shows how T-Bob got so many "pancake" blocks - mostly on linebackers.

our OL will be much improved due to his graduation. Rolling on the ground and having people 25 feet away from the play trip over you doesnt make up for getting blown back into the backfield by DTs repeatedly and killing drives.

Only after Les got called out Bobby Hebert for naming T-Bob in the Shady's incident that T-Bob had nothing to do with. I think JL must have had a few choice words for Les to getting him in the dog house. Mr. wonderful can give it out but can't take it.

thanks for posting something positive about the kid. too many on this board only see the mistakes...not the fact that he was a solid contributor for LSU.

prayers for the folks in VaBeach and the drivers of the F-18/Oceana.

geaux TBob...geaux Navy.

If ALL he ever did was say "%@$# this" and snap the ball against Tennessee despite JJ's snap count, I'm a Team T-Bob guy for eternity.

Getting to the second level he was always good, standing up defensive linemen he was usually overmatched at. We typically put him in good situations though to play to his strength.

Yep, I totally agree! Thank god he snapped the fricking ball! I actually almost started a grassroots movement to make t bob interim offensive coordinator.
