Odd. I searched but I'm not seeing this in the help section. I know it's been talked about elsewhere.

I know we can't have a board for everything but there seems to be some decent level of interest for a workout board.

Any chance of this happening? We certainly have a couple of low volume boards so traffic can't be too big a concern.

this is why we cant have nice things. they allow one thing to happen then everyone wants something. the obama society but seriously the workout board has been being campaigned for for a while not looking good as of yet

Would make a lot more sense and bring more traffic/ad revenue than the music Board, while not having to worry about people breaking laws and the FBI shutting down TD due to music piracy...

maybe the crybabies who do not want straight up religion/atheist debates on the poli board can go lobby chicken for a religion board now. we already tried from our end plenty times. been there done that.

Please don't bring logic to this site. When I told the admins this they scoffed at the idea that a workout board would bring in MANY more sponsors than a music board.

Perhaps you need a lesson in 'logic'.

Music threads and fitness/health threads were generated in near equal amounts on the OT.

Both were outnumbered severely by science/technology threads.

That's a stupidly broad board idea.

How the hell do you get a three hour delayed double post?

A tech board is waaaaay too broad a board idea anyway.

I'm talking about sponsors. Money for the site. Which business spends more on advertising? (Serious question, I don't know) Every time I turn around I am being bombarded with supplement advertising on TV and the internet. I have never seen an add to buy the new Taylor Swift cd.

Why is technology an inherently more "broad" topic than politics?

And why would this be a negative? Every newspaper and news website has a section devoted to (sci)Tech, because, yes, there's a lot to discuss. This is why we see so many posts on the OT dealing with technology, and why there really needs to be a dedicated board to host such discussions.
