GOT Clash of Kings Appendix Question (Spoilers?)

Does the appendix with all houses and families reveal certain characters fates at the end of this book, or does it reflect their current standings after A Game of Thrones?
I was going to browse it to put some characters' names to their houses, but I don't want to find out if character X or Y has died, since I'm only halfway through this book.

I'm pretty sure the appendices don't cover events of the current book.
Did a * quick* look and didn't see anything.

They show the current status at the beginning of the book. So no spoilers would be shown.

Nothing in particular, just felt like looking at all of their houses. But for example, if I looked at the end of AGOT under house Stark and saw that it said "Robb Stark, King of the North", it'd give away that Ned was no longer in the picture.
But this thread calms my fears. Now I can do a little digging to catch me up on all the houses, big and small.

Yeah, you'll be fine.
I'm actually shocked you waited this long to look in the appendices. I burned that bridge at the very beginning of AGOT.
Now no one could get to the second chapter, let alone second book in Steven Eriksons Malazan series witout checking those things.
