I'm sure this has been covered in the past(although I couldnt find it in search) but does anyone foresee a college basketball game coming out again in the near future? The market has to be there more than some other games EA releases. Now with the ability to update rosters on the internet and everything, I think it would kill. Someone told me that EA had exclusive rights but that they expired I think this year. They haven't made a game in 2 years and 2k hasnt made one since 08. Thoughts? Concerns? Prayers?

I've always enjoyed the college bball games more than the nba games. I wish 2k would make another one. Exclusive rights has really ruined sports gaming. The 2k basketball games are far and away better than the ea games.

I think that's the only way it happens. EA was fully capable of making a college basketball game the last few years and chose not to. They obviously have no interest. Hopefully 2k will see the need for a game and make a great one

With NBA Live 13 coming out this fall, it's very possible they put out an NCAA Basketball game again probably next year, and use the same/similar engine.
Time will tell.

Why would they have skipped the last few years then?
Nevermind, just realized they haven't put out Live the last few years. Wow. That'd be awesome. I just wish they'd go ahead and announce it too or 2k would.

I'm actually surprised ea is putting out an NBA game again. 2k was dominating them so they stopped doing it. This one better be awesome to pull ppl away from 2k

Seeing the development of nba 2k over the years saddens me because of what nfl 2k could have been by now.
My career mode is pretty fun and online is great.

They had some weird circumstances behind not making them. They tried a reboot that didn't work and they pushed back and eventually cancelled 11. 12 was a no go because of the lockout. I used to be a live guy. Their cancellations turned me to a 2k guy in basketball, but I didn't buy this year because of the lockout and bad rookie crop
Anything that gets a cbb game done I'm all for
