Can anyone argue that LSU has been the best football team in the past decade? I think they have finished 1 year outside the top 25 and the rest have been top 12 at least with 3 BCS appearances and 2 crystal trophies. I would say Oklahoma Ohio State and USC (and probably Florida and Bama) have averaged each season with preseason rankings much higher than LSU and that makes it all the sweeter. I look forward to USC number 1 preseason this year again with similar outcomes. T I G E R S Tigers!!!

Oh, I wanted to see if anyone had some stats on average BCS finish for the top 10-25 teams in the past decade.

LSU is the ONLY CFB team since 2000 to accomplish all of the following:

1. Win at least 8 games every season (and have a winning season every year), and win at least 10 games in seven of those seasons.....
2. Go to a bowl game every year.
3. Win 8 bowl games.
4. Have 7 Top Ten teams, including 4 in Top Five.
5. Have a 4-1 BCS bowl record.
6. Win 4 SEC Championships
7. Average 10 wins per year in the last 12 season (123 victores since 2000).
Maybe Boise State has done this, not sure....

There are teams that have done one or a few of the above accomplishments, but we are the only one to do ALL of them....

8. We are tied with the most NCs since 2000 with Florida, Alabama, Miami and USC(?) and tied for most NC appearances with USC, Oklahoma, Ohio State(?) Miami(?)

We're living in the second Golden Age of LSU Football. If you were to tell someone how successful our program would be to a fan in the Hallman or DiNardo years, they'd probably laugh you out the building.

Does anyone know the average BCS finish for this time period? LSU and the usual suspects, i.e. USC, Ohio ST, Okie, Florida, Bama...
