The Hornets need to lose. Cleveland, New Jersey, Sacramento,and Toronto all have 17 wins and with the Hornets look like they have been looking - plus a healthy Kaman, Ariza, Goose, and Gordon - we could win five/six/seven games before the year is out

All of the 17 win teams will probably end up with around 22 wins. The Hornets would have to go 9-7 in the final 16 games to get lumped in with that group. I'd be more worried about Golden State than the 17 win teams. They have 20 wins but sound like they are ready to shelve Curry for the year and traded their best player for Bogut who won't be playing again this season. They have motivation to tank because they lose their pick unless it's top 7, and they've got a lot of talent sitting on the sidelines.
