I know you are all interested in this topic, so I apologize for the tardiness of this post.
In the 4th annual Red-Blue Spring Game, the Blue team defeated the Red by a score of 17-10. Trailing by 7 with 4 minutes left in the game, Red QB Myles Gibbon find Anthony Ingram open down the middle of the field. It looked like Ingram would score to give the red team a chance to tie, but Blue defensive back Damian McGaskin punched the ball out of Ingram's hands at the 1 yard line. The ball rolled out the back of the endzone and the blue team took over and was able to run out the clock. Approximatelyy 4,000 fans were in attendance and were treated to a chance to see the new up-tempo offense under the direction of first year coordinator Robert Matthews. With running backs Kendall Houston, Brandon Ross, and Ellis Hill sidelined with injuries, Demetre Baker (#33 below) got the bulk of the action with the first unit and opened the scoring with a short touchdown run in the first quarter.
Just 160 days separate us from the season opener against UT-San Antonio on August 30th.

This is the final year of our transition to FBS. We are considered an FCS team, but a win over USA will count as an FBS win. We play a full Sun Belt conference schedule.
