Engagement Party in the FQ, CBD, or warehouse district

A friend asked me for some ideas for a location for an engagement party of about 30 people. I suggested Muriel's, Arnaud's, Tommy's, and Cochon but they were looking for something a little cheaper. Any ideas?

If you don't need a formal sit down place, there is a party rental space above Lucy's. It is a little better looking up there than you would expect and they did a good job of an event I attended.
Ernst Cafe does the same thing in their upstairs, but they are not as good.
See if he can at least call Muriels and check their pricing for such an event.

Call Denise at Muriel's. I second Lucy's and Ernst's. Napoleon House has some private rooms.
