They failed on this one also.

They have nothing on-the-field as evidence, even after looking at this under the microscope, that shows anything outside of the on-the-field rules. All clean and legal hits, even the shamefully over-played media video of Kurt Warner and Brett Fahhhvrey,,,Nothing.

If this is so wrong, why did the NFL officials not call the games differently? If they knew this was ongoing, and they were looking for the evidence on the field, and they did not find evidence to call penalties, then they should shut up.

yes, Greg williams is a slimeball for getting involved in what is normally player administered and lead, so he is wrong also.

But Godell needs to get off his high horse.

Godell is a pussy.

This is about potential future litigation regarding player safety. If opposing counsel can pull this out and convince the jury that the league is soft on this kind of thing (or worse, complicit) how do you think that's going to affect the league's ability to argue that they are committed to player safety? How do you think that's going to affect the jury's perception of how seriously the league takes this sort of thing? That's why this is a big deal.

Godell IS complicit. The horse is out of the barn. If the Saints are guilty, so is he.

I agree about the future litigation, but do you really think what Goodell does will matter in any cases now. A good lawyer will win big settlements anyhow. What, he was only able to get 10mil instead of 20mil because he the NFL came down on the Saints.

What has happened exposed the NFL for what it has always been, (except for those who have their heads in the sand) and that is the reason football is so popular.

This is also about the Saints being contacted by the NFL and told "we" (the nfl) know you are doing this and being told to stop. The Saints failed to do so and now must pay the price. If the Saints had complied with the order from the NFL I would think none of this would be an issue now.
