Is there anywhere around Baton Rouge I can rent a boat for a week?

My thoughts exactly. I'm renting one to a buddies company for some work they have to do for $800 a day. After he is done you are more than welcome to it.

18' aluminum center console with a 90 Yamaha, I will have to consult with my constituents on $200 a day.

I was looking for the same thing. I have some customers that I need to take fishing in Grand Isle around July. I would need a 22'-24' bay boat to rent for 3-5 days. Are there any boat dealers that do this?

Why not hire a charter? Tax write off, catch fish, catered to..etc.

I'm with Chad, why would you want to do this? Too much f'n liability, etc. Hire a professional and be done with it, don't be that guy.

It's a fishing tournament for their company. No guides are allowed and I don't own a boat that can fish 4 out of, and neither does the customer.

I don't know of any that do. Like others have said here the liability is outrageous, not to mention the maintenance cost and issues. There are one or two places on Grand Isle that rent VERY SMALL skiffs that really are not even safe to be running those open bays. I know of one that had at least 2 of his rental skiffs sunk last year.

Sounds like the company needs to reconsider their rules or simply have a separate category for those that do use guides.
