CoachingSearch.com writer Pete Roussel has a couple of interesting names as possible replacements for Ron Cooper.

I fail to see where he listed any replacements.
I am on mobile though so that may be screwing with it some...

Scroll up.

LSU: Don't be surprised if former Clemson defensive coordinator / linebackers coach Kevin Steele enters the mix at LSU to replace Ron Cooper. After interviewing for the special teams coordinator job with the Jacksonville Jaguars a couple of weeks ago, Ron Zook stated that he's likely to sit out this year, but if there is a job that Zook might consider if contacted, it could be LSU. Also, Baylor defensive backs coach Carlton Buckles would presumably have an interest in the job.

Id be all for going after Zook. The man is one of the best recruiters in the nation.

I wouldn't mine seeing Zook...

Zook would definitely be a good hire. Either Raymond or Zook would be a good fit for me

Shouldn't this be on the coaching changes board?

No shite, that would be a homerun hire at least for recruiting purposes.

I always liked Zook as a coach/recruiter, just not a head coach.

If Ron Zook goes anywhere, I'd figure it would be a DC position. Then a couple of years down the road, he's gonna get offered another HC job due to his recruiting prowess.

Not to mention, he turned Vontae Davis into a first rounder and one heck of an NFL corner

I doubt Zook goes anywhere for anything less than a coordinator job.

Yeah but has been a LBer coach pretty much his whole career. I would rather someone who has an expertise with coaching the secondary

I simply don't see zook coming @ anything less than DC. it would be too good to be true. I wonder who chavis prefers..
