Gausman, McCune, and Eades seem to be a pretty legit starting three. The last time I remeber having 2 very good starters was with Coleman and Ronado. I can't seem to remember having three very good starters. So, here's is my question to the wonderful rant. Who were the best starting 3 that you can remember? I have very little doubt these 3 shall not be in the stellar 90s for tiger baseball, but hey everyone has their opinion.

Ogea, Byrd, Sirotka. And having Greene for the closer didn't hurt.

Ainsworth, Keisler, Bowe, Tallet, and Thompson were stout in 97! Pretty much the same guys in 98 too.

Its nice knowing our 3 SEC starters before the season even starts. Can't remember the last time that has happened

Brian Tallet was a workhorse in 2000. He threw 143 innings which in todays era is ridiculous.

I've heard the jury is still out on McCune for weekend starter. Supposedly he was getting ripped in scrimmages? Don't know if that holds any merit, but he was stellar last season and Sunday.

Russian made a comment that mccune was almost unhittable at practice... Is that on the pitching or batters?

Those guys were not the studs in 97. Coogan, Thompson, Shipp and the rest were several notches below. Shipp wasn't even the same later in the 97 season. Coogan and Thompson carried us

Not a bad guess, I couldn't even begin to make educated guess.... Just seems we're always experimenting non-conference to fill our rotation.

& yea I read on here exactly the opposite about McCune, that he was lights out in the scrimmages. Barring injury I think it's safe to assume GEM are our guys, just wish we would go G-M-E, & sandwich KM bw our harder throwers.

The 2000 rotation was insane with Tallet, Gomez, and the 3rd slips me (if I'm even in the same ballpark)

That would be my pick. I want to say the 89 team had our top 5 starters all pitch in the majors at some point.
