Have my 28' twin outboard boat in town to do the 100 service. Since this is the first time I've done the service I wouldn't mind running it for a bit before bring it back to the coast.

I assume that the launch near Freds can handle larger boats? Also I think I heard there was a lot of debris in that area after recent rains is bad enough to be concerned with running the canal? Thanks

Id take it to Manchac, great launch.

If Freds launch is to short your gonna run the trailer tires off the end and into the mud, not good.

I don't know on a rig that big.

I've heard a lot of people complain about the launch there and the drop off. I launch by 21 ft bay boat there without any problems.

I would definately try to find someone else around with a boat that big that's launched there or where they normally launch from in that area.

I've launched at Big Johns in our 30 ft Contender many times. If its not called Big Johns anymore, it is off Hwy 42 about 4 miles west of Port Vincent.

Their launch is good but they definately need to shore up the driveway entrance to that place which has a pretty awful dropoff.

The Diversion will be fine on water height, but it will have debris till the end of the week.

ETA, when I left home today, it was flowing but no debris, so if you need to run it tomorrow you might be ok...

It is steep and trucks have lots of trouble pulling out boats. Their parking is now limited because the field is off limits and the river is flowing which will make it hard to launch and pick up.

Canal Bank is protected...
