I was at Buffalo Wild Wings in Midtown where they have their weekly "Astroline" show, and the show's guest last night was Jim Crane.

They talked about the uniforms in-depth.

He said they're bringing in 2 outside firms next week to consult for the new uniform design. They're going to take the 2 firms' ideas and incorporate some fan feedback into helping them decide.

He also said that he was a fan of the old uniforms and wants to incorporate them as well (don't know if he was referencing the color scheme or wearing throwbacks more often).

He said that they have to submit a new uniform idea to MLB before THIS season starts, and their plans are to have a design finalized by April 1st with the formal announcement taking place after this season.

Just thought you guys might like to know.

This is and will always be Houstons problem. They are too busy trying to make Houston look more colorful/attractive instead of actually finding talent to field a team. Been a life long Stros fan, their dead to me now. frick the AL and Selig and Crane for folding to this move.

I didn't think Crane had much of a choice on the move.

Well he's a perfect fit for Houston then. No fricking balls. Or strikes for that matter.

It's not Crane's fault dude. Whoever bought that franchise was going to have to obey the douche that is Bud Selig.

Losing in the NL or losing in the AL...what's the difference?

Tra-fricking-dition. We started out NL damnit, will die NL. First they move us from the West to the Central. Now we are in another league. Doesn't seniority have anything to do with tradition. Why not Arizona/Colorado, they only been in the NL for 30 years combined. Houston was 2 years away from their 50th NL anniversay.

Bud hates the Astros for some reason. This bull and the fricking "home" series in Milwaukee after Ike.

Watch it! I've been dying to use that.

Unfortunately, it didn't really work here either. I'll get there.

I'm not even an Astros fan, but the older I get the more I'm convinced this was one of the better logos in baseball. Just bring the H Star back. Look at how much better teams like the sixers look now that they've dropped their late 90s alternate color shtick.

Yeah, I've been thinking that for a while. I don't understand teams with the first letter of their nickname as their logo like the A-star. The Bengals do it, too. Go back to the H-star logo, and it is hard to go wrong.
