I have a big bag of tuna in my freezer that someone gave to me. I could never cook that much tuna at one time. Can i defrost it and put the tuna in smaller bags of water and refreeze it? Will it still be good?

Refreezing fish is a bad idea. Defrost, asian it all and make some aristocrat Tuna salad with what you don't eat.

ETA: "It generally is never a good idea to re-freeze any kind of meat"

What that dude down there said

It generally is never a good idea to re-freeze any kind of meat. The cell membranes of them don't take kindly to the process.

Man, whatever you do, DO NOT put the tuna in tap water.
