New Orleans Saints May Target LSU for WR Coach Vacancy
quote:
New Orleans Saints: Don't be surprised if New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton targets LSU running backs coach / recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson for the wide receivers job. The Saints have yet to name a replacement for Curtis Johnson, who is the new head coach at Tulane.

This makes no sense. Frank's best asset is as a recruiter, not a position coach.
Unless its a significant pay raise i dont see how its good for either party.

You're correct. Frank Wilson's job is recruting, his on the field coaching is not that great, so why would he leave to go to the NFL, where it is all about coaching?

LOL! This has less than a zero percent chance of happening.

if he wants to move up in coaching, this makes a lot of sense-he can coach! he did so in hs coaching

Tulane may have dealt a blow to LSU by hiring Curtis Johnson. Nice.

doubt it... by the way, what happened to getting Leach, Tommy Bowden, and Rich Rod anyway?

All hell would break out on Sean and the Saints if this were to occur.

That would kill LSU's recruiting. He's far and away the best recruiter on their staff, it's really not even close.

Or it could mean another SEC school is about to lose their RB coach/Nola recruiter

I wouldn't know who you're hinting at, but ISWYDT.

I'd take Burton over Wilson any day...although I love Wilson.
Also, this makes no sense tbh. Why would the Saints hire a guy who barely has any WR coaching experience? He coached it one year at Tenn...

Isn't it obvious? The Saints hate LSU.
